Water Protector ceramic sculpture from series 'Rise, Earth Women'
hand built, multi-fired with underglaze
Dimensions: 10” H x 5” W x 9” D
2026
Origin stories tell of Turtle swimming down to the depths of the water to gather mud in a spontaneous act of kindness to create a landing place for the first women as they fell from the sky. Now it is time to rise in reciprocity, in ferocious gratitude- to protect all natural creatures and the sacred earth we inhabit. This Turtle carries wise and fierce warrior women as a symbol of our symbiotic and spiritual connection to nature.
