New Work by Denise Fleisch

Denise Fleisch's arresting planes of color are the result of her recent explorations in translucent oils and textural mediums.  She works intuitively, harnessing and exploiting the wavelengths of energy inherent in each carefully chosen hue.

On the eve of Valentine's Day, what's better than a little clay throwing action?! Demi, Patrick, and the 90's had it right. Bring a sweetheart, or just yourself, and learn the tips, tricks, and techniques of local artist Jared Tolson as he demonstrates throwing a variety of forms in clay! Also, get your hands dirty and try it yourself! You may want to wear something, um, washable.

Free and open to the public, no RSVPs needed, snacks and refreshments will be served!

"Chicago" by Terry Pisel
March 2011

Terry Pisel is a purveyor of memories, of beauty in imperfection.  The photographs of Terry's travels are manipulated both digitally and by hand to reflect how he remembers these experiences-- spotty and pieced-together like an old photograph found in a wallet or tucked in a box in the attic.

Join us for the reception on Friday, March 4, 2011 during Art Detour.  Snacks and drinks will be served, free and open to the public, no RSVPs necessary.
