practical art's client testimonials
practical art would like to thank the following customers for saying such nice things about us!

If Target and MOMA procreated, their child would be Practical Art. No where else can I find such familiar items so uniquely created. There is always something new and interesting arriving, and all clearly made with the utmost care and craftmanship. The staff are the friendliest in town. And there's always something cool going down, from the opening of the monthly wall show to a craft demonstration. Practical Art is a true Phoenix gem.

I discovered Practical Art shortly after moving to north central Phoenix in August 2008, and it's one of the reasons I love this neighborhood. Whether I'm looking for artwork to decorate my home, functional accessories for my office, a gift for someone special or jewelry to adorn my body (see necklace in photo), Practical Art always has the perfect find.

In addition to locally handcrafted, one-of-a-kind merchandise, Practical Art offers reasonable prices, helpful and friendly staff, convenient hours and location, discounts for repeat customers and eco-conscious practices. It’s a true gem.

Diane DAngeloPractical Art is my "go-to" place to pick up the perfect corporate gift. Jane and her staff are always available to help me find a signature item for clinic openings and key customer acknowledgements.  It's really helpful that they are open every day, even Sundays, and stay open late most evenings.

When I'm looking to make an impact, a gift from Practical Art says more than a plant or fruit basket ever could. Thank you, PA!

I truly value each item that I've picked up for my home or office from Practical Art, but I most appreciate the store and its awesome staff for helping me always find the perfect gift. Every present that I've purchased here has five important things in common:

1) It's stylish.

2) It's original.

3) It's well made.

4) It's reasonably priced.

5) It's always truly enjoyed by the recipient - even "hard to shop for" people.

Frankly, it's hard not to find something great for yourself or someone else at Practical Art.  Supporting the well-made works of local artisans is a joy and brings joy to others!

I love shopping at Practical Art.  It’s a great way to benefit Arizona’s artists and find wonderful gifts (for others and myself).  I particularly like Practical Art’s large pottery selection, which includes unique teapots, coffee mugs, vases, and bowls.  I now have so much Practical Art pottery in my house that I could start a franchise!

When I need a gift, I go to Practical Art.  I like the fact that the artists are local, the store is owned by a local woman, it's convenient, many of the items are eco-friendly, and they are reasonably priced.  I also like to take out-of-town guests shopping at Practical Art, because it is unique to the Valley and a great place to find gifts to take home. Jane and all the staff have great taste, and there is never any pressure to purchase.  It's just a fun place!

Ever go to a gallery and look at all the artwork by established artists, priced in the thousands, and wish you could have found them when they were starting out?   Practical Art is just the place for you.  Not only do they have a space filled with handmade bowls, candle holders, mirrors and picture Robert Sattlerframes, but they also have a wall filled with a rotating display of local artists.  The first of every month brings a new artist and a new medium.   I have seen photography, collages, glasswork, metal work, oil paintings and ceramics.   Even if you don’t care for a particular artist, the work is always interesting and worth a look – and when you do like the work, it is priced well within reach of most people who are looking for art, for as little as 150 dollars up to about 1500 dollars.   Styles have ranged from traditional oils to contemporary works.   Not your style?  Wait a month and see what’s next.   The work is great, and Kara, Lisa, Chris and Jane are all knowledgeable and very helpful.   They have met all the artists and can tell you about them and their work.  If that’s not enough, there is a reception each month to meet the featured artist in person.    I have already bought a couple of pieces and wished I had room for several others.  Go!
