INVEST WITH CONFIDENCE

Christine Cassano's recent series of cast concrete works, "Invest With Confidence" draws attention to the disparity between how the American people are feeling the economic recession and the extent to which they are understanding it. Each piece contains a host of embedded objects representing free market commodities, as well as a piece of modern paper currency that is sealed within the work but accessible enough to be removed and recirculated by the collector, thus raising questions about the negotiable integrity of the piece and the value of the art as investment.

How it works:
The art exhibit will have a total of 10 pieces and will be open to the public for 31 days. Each piece will have 2 purchase options.

Option 2: a substantially discounted monetary price with a donation of 5 to 10 hours of volunteer service through Hands On Phoenix. [prices & volunteer hours per art piece will be set by the artist]

At the reception on July 9th, along with literature about Hands On Phoenix, there will be a representative available to speak about the organization.

Any potential purchaser has the freedom to choose either option. If you choose to purchase using option 2, upon payment transaction, there will be a form to fill out committing you to "x" amount of volunteer hours with Hands On Phoenix within the next 90 days.  The artist, Christine Cassano, will follow up with the purchaser after the 90 days to inquire about their experience.
