practical art's artisans
Practical Art represents artisans who produce quality functional goods made out of natural materials.   The store carries a wide range of items, focusing on those that are utilitarian for every day life - from kitchen wares to furniture, jewelry to clothing - all made by hand by regional working artisans whose work is informed by a classic aesthetic.

In addition we invite artists who are not represented (yet) by a commercial gallery to have a solo show of their work on our gallery walls - so stop by often, as the work changes regularly.

Come visit to see what we have in store right now!  New things arrive daily.

We currently have in stock the work of over 60 artisans who work in all materials - wood, ceramic, glass, fiber, metal, soap, paper, concrete and many more!   A few of our artisans have their own web sites, so you can visit and learn more about them here:
